From September 26 to October 2, 2025, the 16th Odesa International Film Festival will host the Film Industry Office, a professional section uniting key players in Ukraine’s and Europe’s film industries.
On September 26 and 27, events organized by the EU’s Creative Europe Programme Desk in Ukraine will focus on presenting international and national support opportunities for the audiovisual sector, discussing industry challenges and prospects.
September 26 will center on funding and international collaboration for Ukrainian cinema. Representatives of the Creative Europe Desk in Ukraine will present tools for supporting the audiovisual sector and discuss national partnership initiatives. A key event will be a panel discussion on financing production and promoting film projects to broader audiences, addressing challenges, risks, and investment models.
September 27 will focus on distribution and innovation. Participants will discuss the distribution of European films and animation in Ukraine, as well as a session on modern documentary challenges, including animation integration, AI in production, producing sensitive content as cultural diplomacy, and experiences from the Art of War trilogy.
The two-day Creative Europe program aims to connect producers, directors, distributors, European institutions, and Ukrainian cultural initiatives. Participants will gain practical knowledge, exchange experiences, and form partnerships to elevate Ukrainian cinema internationally.
