Ukrainian Identity in Transition brings together Ukrainian artists in emigration to explore how identity reshapes itself after rupture. The exhibition focuses not on war, but on what follows — how memory, heritage, and a sense of belonging are renegotiated through displacement and transformation.

Presented in Mannheim, a city shaped by migration, the project opens a broader European dialogue on threatened cultural memory and the reassembly of identity across borders. Through painting, textiles, photography, installation, and video, the exhibition traces three core themes: Memory & Heritage, Migration & Displacement, and New Bodies & Transformation.

Featuring interactive elements and public programs, Rewritten Threads invites viewers to engage with Ukrainian cultural experience and reflect on identity as a living, constantly evolving process.
