Copper Leg Art Residency invites visual artists and land art practitioners to apply for its upcoming residency programme in Estonia. Located in a quiet rural landscape in Vaskjala village, the residency offers time and space for research, artistic production, and reflection.
Set in a former school building surrounded by fields, paths, hedges, and open terrain, the residency encourages practices that engage with land, site, material, environment, and ecology — whether through site-specific work, installations, material exploration, or conceptual approaches to landscape.
Residency details:
- Period: July – November 2026
- Duration: 2 weeks to 2 months
- Location: Vaskjala, Rae Parish, Harju County, Estonia
- Application deadline: April 1, 2026
The residency welcomes:
- Visual artists and land art practitioners
- Site-specific and spatial practitioners
- Emerging and established artists, individuals or collectives
- Local and international applicants
Applications are especially encouraged from those whose work engages with land as a medium, context, or field of inquiry — materially, ecologically, conceptually, or poetically.
