Written by TRANÅS AT THE FRINGE Film Festival will take place in Tranås (Sweden) from 15 to 18 July 2026.
The film screening focuses on experimental films and videopoems from all over the world and announces an open call for film submissions. Films can be submitted in one of the following two sections:
EXPERIMENTAL SHORT FILMS
This section is dedicated to magmatic forms of audiovisual expression and unconventional moving images that challenge established aesthetic and narrative conventions. The festival is open to both national and international filmmakers. Films of any duration and genre are eligible for submission.
VIDEOPOEMS
This section welcomes videopoems — works that exist at the intersection of audiovisual language and the written or spoken word.
The festival is open to national and international filmmakers. Films of any theme and duration may be submitted.
As the festival offers free entrance to the audience, a small submission fee is required to support the realization of the event. Applicants are encouraged to review the “Rules & Terms” on FilmFreeway prior to submitting their films.
