SENSI HOLISTIC CREATIVE AGENCY
Sensi Holistic Creative Agency (SENSI HCA) is an international cultural and social organisation based in Rome, Italy, founded in 2023. The majority of our association — including our Board and community — are Ukrainian women working across art, psychology, cultural production, education, social work and creative facilitation.
We create spaces where art, storytelling and holistic creative practices become tools for healing, self-expression, empowerment and social cohesion. Our work particularly supports Ukrainian women, people with experiences of forced displacement and migration, and diverse communities navigating transition and questions of identity and belonging.
Our approach combines participatory arts, art therapy, storytelling, psychoeducation, mindfulness, cultural exchange and community-building. We believe that creativity can help people reclaim their voices, reconnect with themselves and others, and transform difficult experiences into sources of meaning and agency.
Since our foundation, we have developed projects and programmes connecting Ukrainian and international communities through creative practice. These include:
– The Art of Healing 2024 — a six-month creative wellbeing and empowerment programme for refugees and migrants as well as local community, realized thanks to the UNHCR and INTERSOS. The project brought together art therapy, storytelling, mindfulness and gallery art visits, Capoeira, sustainable creativity and cultural activities, culminating in a documentary and public event.
– This Is Who I Am 2024 — a mini project consisted of a creative workshop and exhibition exploring personal identity, self-expression and the ways we construct and communicate who we are.
– Identity Between Cultures 2025 — a mini project of a workshop and public panel exploring our identity, migration, belonging and the experience of navigating between cultures.
– The Women Care Community 2026 — our ongoing community initiative creating supportive spaces for women through creative practice, peer connection, reflection, wellbeing and collective empowerment.
Through these initiatives, SENSI HCA works to build stronger connections between Ukrainian women, the wider Ukrainian diaspora and local communities, while creating opportunities for women artists and cultural practitioners to meet, collaborate, create and be heard.
Our work is rooted in feminist leadership, intercultural solidarity, human rights, shared responsibility and the belief that every person has the right to belong, create and have their story heard.
