Name:

Olena Kovalova Design

Nationality:

About Me:

I’m a Surface Pattern Designer and Illustrator from Kharkiv, Ukraine, where I was born and currently live and work.

I’ve been keen on drawing and creating since childhood, and creativity has always been an essential part of my life.

I hold a Master’s degree in environmental engineering and spent nearly 15 years teaching at a University, while continuing to explore creative fields alongside my main career.

I worked professionally as a makeup artist for more than 10 years, took part in competitions, won awards, and also created handmade jewelry using beads and crystals. These experiences strongly shaped my sense of color, texture, and detail.

Eventually, I graduated as a graphic designer.

Today, I focus on surface pattern design and illustration.

My style ranges from whimsical, textured illustrations to elegant, vintage-inspired patterns.

I enjoy working with watercolor and ink as well as digital tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Krita.

I’m inspired by nature, cozy everyday moments, and handmade beauty.

My goals are to continue developing my artistic skills, find and refine my unique style, get my own creative studio, and work with long-term licensing clients while creating meaningful, recognizable collections.
