Ukrainian
I am an emerging contemporary Ukrainian artist, mother of 3 children and continue to work as a program director at one of the largest foundations supporting children’s mental health in Ukraine.
Currently, I live in Wroclaw and my work navigates the fragile space between breaking and becoming. I explore how trauma is carried across generations, how it manifests in lived experience, and how individuals can heal and grow more resilient through this process. My practice is deeply informed by my work with traumatized mothers and children, as well as by my own experiences of personal transformation, motherhood in a large family, motherhood in times off was as my third babay was born in 2023 and migration caused by war.
Using cracks, threads, and layered textures, I transform fragmentation into a visual language of connection. My works do not seek to restore what was lost, but rather to reveal the beauty and strength that emerge through repair. An important part of my process involves conducting conversations and interviews with women. I gather their personal stories and lived experiences, particularly those shaped by motherhood, the daily challenges of raising children, the ongoing search for self, and the reality of war. These narratives inform the emotional and conceptual layers of my paintings, allowing individual voices to become part of a shared visual language. The future projects will further explore themes of adolescent vulnerability, the emotional realities of motherhood, and the lived experiences of mothers raising children with disabilities. I also dream about facilitating big women’s communities to give them a voice via art and therefore, also give a voice to my nature, which was for a long time hidden behind other roles.
