About Me:

I practice the art of vytynanka, or papercutting. This is a traditional Ukrainian form of decorative art, to which I give a modern twist, using unconventional materials and working with contemporary themes. I live and work in Lviv, Ukraine. I have an experience of 12 personal and 5 collective exhibitions.

I create monumental abstract pieces using paper as well as non-woven materials. With my art, I seek to communicate the philosophy of dialogue, phenomenology, existentialism, theology of the icon and Eastern Christian spiritual practices. This is related to my another expertise as a philosopher and theologian. From 2022, I also highlight the Ukrainian experience of the full-scale invasion – from the civilian and military perspective, as a trauma and sign of moral endurance.

I am looking to present my projects in Ukraine and abroad to raise awareness about the events in Ukraine and Ukraine’s cultural significance, with an option of selling my artwork.
