A new state initiative, “Tysyachovesna”, has been launched in Ukraine to support the development of cultural production. The project aims to foster contemporary Ukrainian creativity, support artists, and promote high-quality cultural productions across various sectors.
The initiative opens up wide opportunities for creative teams, producers, artists, and organizations working on socially relevant topics and shaping Ukraine’s cultural landscape.
“Tysyachovesna” covers seven main areas:
- feature films and TV series
- documentary (non-fiction) films and series
- animated films and series
- films and series for children
- contemporary music and performing arts

The project focuses on topics that are especially important for Ukrainian society:
- Ukrainian history

- language and culture
- the future of Ukraine

- accessibility and inclusion
These themes reflect current challenges and contribute to building a strong, conscious, and culturally rich society.
The project offers a flexible funding model:

- 50/50 co-financing model for series production
This allows support for both independent creators and large-scale production projects.
