Residencies, Mobile Cinemas and Exhibitions: the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation Is Accepting Applications for the “Culture. Regions” Programme

The Ukrainian Cultural Foundation is accepting applications for the “Culture. Regions” programme. The application deadline is 1 March 2026. The total budget of the programme for 2026 amounts to UAH 30 million.

The objectives of the “Culture. Regions” programme are to:

  • enhance the capacity of communities to generate innovative and competitive cultural content capable of reaching local and global platforms;
  • support local cultural products to promote the unique cultural features and heritage of regions, stimulate creative and tourism potential, including projects aimed at preserving, developing, and presenting intangible cultural heritage through contemporary formats and digital tools;
  • foster cross-sectoral collaborations and support high-impact creative initiatives with the potential to attract private investment and grants, and capable of achieving sustainable cultural growth;
  • support cultural and artistic projects focused on the cultural reintegration of de-occupied and frontline regions of Ukraine, revitalising cultural life through the activation of local creative hubs, and supporting artists, cultural operators, and local communities;
  • support projects aimed at preserving and safeguarding cultural assets, their modernisation through digitalisation, and the development of resilient cultural ecosystems in de-occupied and frontline regions.

The programme consists of two lots:

  • Lot 1 “Local Culture”;
  • Lot 2 “Reintegration through Culture” (projects for frontline and de-occupied territories).

Who can apply:

  • Applicants under Lot 1 “Local Culture” may include:
  • a local self-government body of a settlement (excluding regional centres and the city of Kyiv), registered in the territory of Ukraine (excluding the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine*) in accordance with Ukrainian legislation, with no restrictions on the date of registration, and having relevant experience in the field of culture;
  • a legal entity of any form of ownership or a sole proprietor (FOP), each registered in the territory of Ukraine (excluding the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, regional centres, and the city of Kyiv) at least one year prior to the start date of the competitive selection, and having relevant experience in the field of culture.
  • Applicants under Lot 2 “Reintegration through Culture” may include:
  • a legal entity of any form of ownership or a sole proprietor (FOP), registered in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine in regions where hostilities took place or which were temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation, namely: Donetsk, Luhansk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions, excluding the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, at least one year prior to the date of the call announcement, and having relevant experience in the field of culture.
