SUMMARY:Capacity Building Through Art: Connecting Communities Across Borders
DESCRIPTION:A webinar with Bronagh Lawson on artistic practice\, inclusion and cross-cultural collaboration. \nJoin the Ukrainian Woman project on September 30\, 2026\, for a webinar with Bronagh Lawson exploring how art can strengthen communities\, foster inclusion and support social healing. \nThe session will offer practical insights into artistic capacity building\, community engagement and cross-border collaboration\, drawing on Bronagh’s experience of bringing people together through creative practice. \nBronagh Lawson is a Belfast-based artist\, writer\, curator and community development practitioner. A Fulbright Scholar\, she brings extensive experience in cross-community and cross-border development. Her work connects contemporary art with therapeutic approaches\, and she co-founded Art is Collective\, a studio-based arts group for adults with learning difficulties or mental health issues \nHer background also includes feminist and cross-community political engagement through the Northern Ireland Women’s Coalition\, for which she stood as a candidate for the Northern Ireland Forum.
